Who am I?

This privacy statement applies to joannemay.nl and to all sessions, ceremonies and trainings by Joanne May. I am responsible for processing your personal data myself:

Joanne May
Noord-IJsseldijk 10B, 3402 PH IJsselstein, the Netherlands
Chamber of Commerce (KvK) 74607111 · VAT NL002193402B22
Email: ja_may@live.nl

What data do I process?

I only process data you give me yourself, for example when you call, send a WhatsApp message or email, buy a ticket or sign up for a training:

What you share in a session can be very personal, including about your health or family. I handle it in confidence and only record what is truly needed for our work together.

What do I use your data for?

I do this because it is needed to perform our agreement, and for my accounts because the law requires it. Sensitive information you share in a session is only processed with your explicit consent, which you give by sharing it with me. I never use your data for advertising and never sell it.

How long do I keep your data?

No longer than necessary. Personal session notes are deleted at the latest two years after our last contact, unless you ask me to keep them longer. Invoices and accounts are kept for 7 years, as required by the Dutch Tax Administration.

Who do I share your data with?

I don't share your data with others, unless it is needed to do my work or the law requires it. I use these services:

At a ceremony with another guide from the Hoeders van het Hart circle (for example a water pourer), I only share what is needed for your safety during that ceremony.

Cookies and visit data

This website uses no cookies: no tracking, advertising or analytics cookies. That's why you won't see a cookie banner. The fonts are hosted on this server, so no data goes to Google or other parties when you view the site. If you click a payment button, you go to Mollie's website, where Mollie's rules apply.

As with any website, the hosting provider may temporarily log technical data for security, such as your IP address and the time of your visit. I don't use this to track you.

Security

I take appropriate measures to protect your data, such as a secure connection (https), password-protected devices and recording as little as possible.

Your rights

You can always ask which data I hold about you, and ask me to correct, delete or transfer it. You can also withdraw consent at any time. Just send a message to ja_may@live.nl; I will respond within one month.

Not happy with how I handle your data? Let me know first, so we can find a solution together. You can also file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

I may update this privacy statement. The latest version is always on this page.
